We've spent some time in class discussing and applying the principles of training. As always, my hope (and expectation ;) as your teacher is that you reflect, plan, and apply ways to continue what you're learning in class, in your personal life. For course assessment purposes, you will need to complete the following assignment. It is due on Wednesday, December 18, 2019.

Many of the learning standards in Physical & Health Education 9 compliment each other in terms of experiential and theoretical learning. Through participating in a variety of activities, you can learn to monitor how hard you're working, set personal goals, and realize what activities your prefer/enjoy. Becoming oriented to the weight room and learning to use the space and equipment safely, in a variety of ways, is a worthwhile opportunity; public and private gyms are available in our community for you to consider using beyond your time at school. Below is a copy of the Weight Training Workbook we'll be using in PHE 9. Basic 'Principles of Training' will be discussed and applied in class. Please use this workbook to document and record your training. The course outline is in place to guide my practice and to help students and their parents/guardians understand more about the course and how students' learning will be assessed. We have completed our first week at REMSS! We've started to put faces to names and to appreciate the fantastic learning spaces we have access to. We'll be developing our physical literacy and learning about about overall health and wellness over the next school year. Each class you are expected to come in proper REMSS PHE strip: a school shirt, clean/athletic shoes, and athletic shorts or leggings, unless I've given you notice not to.
